Big Island on the coast of the state of RJ is a paradise on earth and boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. Paddling we have the time and the possibility of knowing all the natural beauties that will appear in the way. For those who enjoy scuba diving there are several options for wrecks.

     Paddles will be relatively short so we can have more time at our stops. And there will be many attractions, deserted beaches and among the most beautiful in Brazil, waterfalls, the ruins of the prison at Dois Rios beach, Acaiá under water cave, the bays of Blue Lagoon, Green Lagoon and Star bay among many others attractions. And after the turn around the island we have another three days to rest and to know the surroundings of the village of Abraão.

  

Expedition Time Line:

  

• DAY 01: ARRIVE GRU/BR.

06:00am – Arrival in Guarulhos Airport/BRAZIL.

09:00am – Departure for Angra dos Reis/RJ.

02:30pm – Expected Arrival in Angra dos Reis.

03:00pm – Boat trip to Abraão Village on Ilha Grande.

04:00pm – Arrival in Lonier Hotel.

  

• DAY 02: LOPES MENDES BEACH.

08:00am – Breakfast.

09:00am – We will paddle (10,0 nautical miles) to the beach of Lopes Mendes passing through some deserted beaches like Itaoca and Juruba. 

11:00am – Arrival in Lopes Mendes beach and visit Santo Antônio beach too. Here we leave the canoes and comeback walking to the Pouso beach.

  

• DAY 03: DOIS RIOS and CACHADAÇO BEACHES.

07:00am – Breakfast.

08:00am - Start the trail to Lopes Mendes beach to take the canoes.

09:00am – Start the paddling (3,5 na. miles) to the beach of Dois Rios, passing through the Cachadaço beach and the ship wreck between the islands in front side Dois Rios beach. We will lunch in Cachadaço Village and in the afternoon return to the Lopes Mendes beach.

04:00pm – Expected arrival in Lopes Mendes beach. And walk to Pouso beach.

  

• DAY 04: PARNAIOCA BEACH/AVENTUREIRO BEACH.

07:00am – Breakfast.

08:00am – Start of the walking to Lopes Mendes beach to take the canoes and paddling (8,0 na. miles) to the beach of Parnaióca.

11:00am – Expected arrival in Parnaioca beach. In Parnaioca beach have one ship wreck on the coast. We will have a lunch and rest.

03:00pm – Start of the paddling (4,0 na. miles) to the beach of Aventureiro, passing through the Leste and Sul beaches, where we will stop for a bath.

05:00pm – Expected arrival in Aventureiro beach.

  

• DAY 05: ARAÇATIBA BEACH.

08:00am – Breakfast.

09:00am – Start the paddling (11 na. miles) to Araçatiba beach, passing through the Meros beach and the under cave of Acaia.

04:00pm – Arrival in Araçatiba beach.

  

• DAY 06: MATARIZ BEACH.

08:00am – Breakfast.

09:00am – Start the paddling (5,5 na. miles) to Matariz beach, passing through the natural aquarium of Green Lagoon.

01:00pm - Expected arrival in Matariz beach, and lunch.

• DAY 07: ABRAÃO VILLAGE.

08:00am – Breakfast.

09:00am – Start our last paddling day (10 na. miles) to Abraão Village, passing through some deserted beach and another natural aquarium, the Blue Lagoon. 

04:00pm – Arrival in Lonier Hotel at Abraão Village.

08:00pm – Free night.

 

• DAY 08: ABRAÃO VILLAGE.

08:00am – Breakfast.

09:00am – Free day: Optional hiking to Parrot peak.

08:00pm – Dinner

  

• DAY 09: ANGRA DOS REIS-RJ/São Paulo.

09:00am – Breakfast and free morning.

12:00am - Farewell Lunch in the Lonier Garoupa Restaurant.

02:00pm – Leaving the hotel to São Paulo city.

08:00pm - Expected arrival in SP, Lunch and check-in.

DAY 10: SÃO PAULO SIGHTSEEING/GRU AIRPORT

08:00 am - Breakfast.

09:00 am - Sightseeing and visit to São Paulo city museum.

01:00 pm - Farewell lunch.

03:00 pm - Sightseeing and GRU airport.

06:00 pm - Expected drop in GRU airport.
